About

Rodrigo Gómez Ayala is a Resident Physician in Neuropathology at the XXI Century National Medical Center in Mexico City. He earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a doctorate in Psychoanalytic Theory from the Lacanian Psychoanalytic College.

His training spans medicine, nursing, psychoanalysis, and forensic science. He completed a Bachelor of Nursing at the National School of Nursing and Obstetrics (ENEO-UNAM), a Master’s Degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Autonomous University of Zacatecas, and qualified as an Expert in Practical Criminalistics through the International Academy of Training in Forensic Sciences (AIFCF).

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Gómez Ayala is an educator and author. He has taught at the University of Health, the National School of Nursing and Obstetrics, Universidad Panamericana, and the UNAM Nursing Graduate Unit, and is certified in teaching for clinical simulation. He is a provider and instructor of Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support with the American Heart Association.

He is a member of the National Scientific Committee of the Mexican Society of Space Medicine and Microgravity (SOMMEM) and author of the book Space Nursing, published by the Mexican Space Agency and CONACyT. He also authored The Borders of the Real (Diván Negro, 2020), reflecting his work in psychoanalytic theory.
